Preliminary exercise learner response

1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.

WWW:

- use of voice over - well delivered/recorded
- very good opening shot
- cinematography
- fish eye lens, trainer
- sound design
- sirens, lighter
- narrative enigma
- use of flashback
- non linear narrative
- video rewind
- setting

EBI:

- typography
- resolution of upload
- target audience (brief - ofcom 12)

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your work.

WWW:

1. good use of shots with a lot of variety
2. good sound design such as in the reverse effect
3. very clear voice over

EBI:

1. should use a different choice font of text on screen
2. better resolution
3. make it suitable to audiences aged 12

3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?

i completed the objective extremely well as the project accurately reflected what was written on the statement of intent. however The one flaw with the extract + statement of intent is that it did not convey a crime drama that would be rated 12 as the production would be too graphic according to ofcom due to the use of a cigarette.

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?

- better video quality/resolution
- different choice of typography
- re-film to make eligible to audiences aged 12

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors and narrative or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.

- i will change the scenes that include cigarettes, guns and profanities
