  1) Find a film clip on YouTube that uses sound in an interesting way. Analyse the use of sound, making sure you use the key language we have learned about sound in film: Within the movie clip there is a mix between diegetic and non-diegetic sound in which the diegetic sound comes from the dialogue of the multiple characters talking due to the event that had occurred with the transformers in which the non-diegetic sound is displayed when there is music playing from post production that is parallel to the scene as the scene with this are birds eye shots of the surrounding landscape, additionally within these scenes the music uses sound bridges as the music continues through different scenes. moreover there are sound effects which are also non-diegetic such as gun shots.

 - I have created a non-diegetic video contrasting athletes/bodybuilders and animals  - parallel : the bodybuilders that match the more intense music  - contrapuntal : the cute animals which opposes the music

1) Still image analysis    - within the image, low key lighting is utilised when depicting the main character in shadow as the left side of the face is in-cased in shadow as well as the large amount of contrast there is from the background - the lighting source primarily comes from the left with partial top lighting  - with the use of lighting, the smoke is accentuated as it is fully lit and is very prominent within the scene   - the image uses low key lighting as there is a very large amount of contrast created in which you can only see the subjects face  - the lighting source come from the left side of the image and with a considerable amount of top lighting - the effect created by lighting in the image is extremely high contrast due to the large majority of the image being covered in darkness - the image scene has high key lighting due to the character being well lit with a good amount of detail showing as well as not a primary focus on contrast being shown - there is key lighting c

 

 1. From first impressions of the film poster, it may possibly be about crime in a futuristic city due to the man holding a gun with a futuristic city in the foreground. In addition the storyline may be about saving the world form androids/AI due to the inhuman and expressionless looking person. 2. Moreover it could be a hybrid genre due to the aspects of crime and science-fiction aspect being portrayed by the poster. 3. The target audience would be men as they are more interested/involved with sci-fi movies. furthermore ages above 15 would be targeted due to the possible violence indicated by the gun as well as the cigerette. 1. From first impressions of the film poster, it may possibly be about horror with a comedic sense due to the film poster parodying  other popular horror movies as the characters are wearing something that has text that references other movies. Moreover some of the characters would refer to other movies e.g. the pastor/priest would reference 'the exorcist

  1) Find a distinctive  still image  and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. Within this still image the focus is not on a single person/protagonist in which it is rather on an entire group of people running towards a dark insert on a giant wall. The insert within the walls resemble a dark alleyway due to the lack of lighting and shape of it. Additionally the characters are wearing some sort gear which could symbolise that there may be some danger for where they are heading. 2) Find  TWO  film or TV extracts on YouTube from different genres (e.g. horror, sci-fi, costume drama). Embed them in your blogpost and write a comparison of the mise-en-scene in each. Within this extract the mise-en-scene that is displayed is that there would be a sense of danger due to the arrangement of the characters with weapons in the centre as the glance at each other and the weapons. moreover the scene is well lit whilst the perimeter is encase
